A Mending Angel’s mission is to permanently change lives by providing one-time, critical needs assistance to low income families and individuals. A Mending Angel provides critical support in a variety of key areas, including health, education, housing, and critical outreach.

I recently left a high-paying, high-powered job and founded A Mending Angel - a new and unique nonprofit in every sense of the word. A Mending Angel is extremely unique in that we are striving to change lives, as well as improve the nonprofit sector itself. We will accomplish this with a steadfast focus on accountability, integrity, and results and evaluation: A new model for nonprofits. Unlike most nonprofits, A Mending Angel is consistently focused on creating permanent change via our programs and grant-making. We give only one-time critical needs grants for this very reason. In addition, A Mending Angel provides annual updates on all our grantees, and we provide a copy of any receipt for any expense.

Each Mended Angel will be closely evaluated and monitored to ensure both their own success as well as the success of the entire organization. A Mending Angel will constantly be asking the questions: "Is what we’re doing working? Are we successful in our mission?" This heightened level of organizational integrity and accountability will be a key ingredient in our longevity.

As a public benefit charitable nonprofit, A Mending Angel is consistently aware of being accountable to the public- and to our donors. We work for you, so that we may all pursue our lofty goal of permanently changing lives. For the better, and for the future.

We believe we are on the right track with our unique perspective on what it means to be a nonprofit. A Mending Angel can change the world, in a very focused and tangible way.
